OBSESSED with Success Stories

So...I've been quiet. Here's what I've been reading (admittedly more than once over) to keep the positivity flowing.  My first beta is Wednesday morning (holy cow!!!).

  2. Are you going to POAS? I got my BFP at 7dp5dt. Do you have any symptoms?

    1. Does an OPK 7dp5dt count? Symptoms: fatigue, mild cramping, some foods taste funny, dizziness upon standing. Hope those are good symptoms!!!

    Prior ART: Total of 6 IUIs with Clomid or Follistim
    # IVF cycles: 1
    Donors: 0
    Meds taken: BCP, Lupron, Menopur, Follistim, HCG, Prometrium
    # Follicles at ER: 20+
    # Eggs retrieved: 26 (23 mature)
    # Eggs fertilized: 18
    # Days b/w ER and ET: 5
    # Embryos transferred: 1
    Embryo quality: good (AB I think)
    2WW symptoms: None that I haven't had with all my BFNs except at 6dp5dt constipation returned.
    #dpt +BFP: Don't quite believe it yet.
    #dpt +HPT: 7dp5dt
    # at first beta: ?
    # of babies: ?
    Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process: After the first couple of IUIs didn't work, I wish I would have skipped the rest. Except my Follistim+ IUI canceled cycle was helpful because I overstimulated. Good diagnostic. I think that's why my RE was able to prescribe me a low dose of Follistim for IVF and never had any OHSS symptoms.

      Oh, and I agree. I wish I had skipped at least 1-2 of my 4 IUIs...blah.

    TTC for: Since Jan. 2012
    Diagnosis: Husband had testicular cancer in 2004, now azoo. Banked 4 vials of frozen sperm before chemo, which is what we had to use.
    Prior ART: Nothing.

    Donors: 0
    Meds taken: Gonal-F, Ganirelix, HCG, Crinone, Vivelle
    # Follicles at ER: 20+
    # Eggs retrieved: 21 (19 mature)
    # Eggs fertilized: 15 with ICSI
    # Days b/w ER and ET: 5
    # Embryos transferred: 1
    Embryo quality: "Perfect" blast
    2WW symptoms: None
    #dpt +BFP: 10dp5dt
    #dpt +HPT: faint at 6dp5dt, definitely there at 9dp5dt
    # at first beta: 290, rose to 860 at Beta2, and 3,000+ at Beta3
    # of babies: 1 (will confirm that at u/s next week)
    Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process: Be ready for a dry spell in the bedroom (no sex for nearly a month now - eek!) but the whole process was relatively pain-free all the way through. The shots weren't so bad, and the ER was pretty easy. I was terrified of OHSS, but I really think eating high protein diet and drinking lots of water before helped! It's SO possible for it to work on the first try!
